Back in the day every website had a Links section where they linked to their friends websites or just websites they thought were cool and I miss that.

I've also been working on some projects that are off-the-beaten-path enough the only information for them are on websites that don't come up easily in search engines and I'd like a place to capture those.

I also read a post in Summer 2026 with a blogroll it described as:

...an old-fashioned list of websites and blogs I've stumbled across and think are worth your time. No algorithms, no sponsored posts, just human recommendations. The way the web used to work before Google and social media took over.

and I liked that.

A web-publishing platform which I didn't use but came across because they created Prototype. Last post was early 2009, most links are broken.

Prototype

The first javascript library I came across that made cross-browser javascript easier^{browsers of the 2000s} especially in regards to ajax. This was before JQuery took over and long before Angular and later React dominated front-end development.

^{browsers of the 2000s} Browsers in the 90s and 2000s was it's own animal. I'll write about it in this space at some point.
