But besides that, good news, this was better than I remembered it being and I don't think I've seen this in quite some time. The effects are just fantastic, I can't get over how good they look. The blob scenes are just fun to watch. |

I suppose I went in with bias towards it being the 3rd movie in a series that most likely didn't set out to be a trilogy. I enjoyed the strong thematical element of mirrors/reflections. At first I thought it would grow wearisome with how you're sort of hit over the head with it but it was fun to look for in each scene. The Mirror Donna & Boyfriend scene is fun with the reversed lettering. Not nearly enough Tangina. I daresay I would watch an entire spin-off series of Tangina as she makes her way through a John Wick-esque underworld of spirits. |

It explores the universe of the demons a bit which is cool I guess. The special effects are awesome and the interviews with various crew that worked on the special effects are great as well. Fun fact, Liz is played by Pamela Adlon, voice of Bobby Hill. |

ago now) said it was one of his favorites it the Zombie genre. Review: I don't think they utilized the "30 nights" mechanic to it's fullest extent. The whole movie could have taken place in one night. |

It does the one thing that I hate and that is people commenting on computer technology without really understanding computer technology in a meaningful way. There's a sort of "typewriter vs. computers" narrative when in reality the thing they hate is what venture capital has done to computer technology. I know to some this can seem like a distinction without a difference but these same people would have been bemoaining what typewriters did to hand-writing a hundred years ago. |

The opening scene was in-line-enough with what I knew about Obsession (which I had kept minimal) so it wasn't quite what I was expecting but close enough that I didn't immediately suspect a problem. I got past "I didn't know Ewan McGregor was in this..." and to "Josh Brolin? Nick Nolte? there's no way" and then the title card hit. I stuck around because the cast was interesting but the movie itself fell flat. I suspected studio-fuck-up which I confirmed afterwards. |

Can't remember how I got started here, I think it was watching Split Second (1992) on some streaming platform and realized how much I enjoyed his acting. Found a whole Hauer section at Movie Madness and so slowly working through that.
